Chapter Four

Birds chirping and the sound of horses whinnying was what woke Luna up early the next morning. She slowly opened her eyes, taking in her surroundings. Her dress was back on and her legs had the familiar burn from good sex.

The door was still shut and the ladder was there, but Silas was nowhere to be seen. She took a peek outside the hay door and saw him working with the cows with his shirt off. She bit her lower lip, watching his muscles ripple with every movement. Luna wasn’t sure she knew exactly what love was, but she knew what lust was and she knew that she was absolutely in lust with this man.

Silas met her eyes from across the field and he smiled. She ducked back into the hayloft, not wanting to be seen by anyone else. Luna noticed another hay door at the end of the hayloft and she headed toward it. Opening it, she saw a ladder that led to the ground, and saw the woods surrounding the property was just two feet from the ladder. She was about to go down it when Silas appeared at the bottom.

“Come on down,” he said.

She climbed down the ladder backward. A couple feet from the ground, Silas grabbed her around the waist and pulled her into him. His mouth against hers made her melt and she wrapped her arms around his neck. He backed her up into the ladder, his tongue working lazily against hers as his hand wandered up her dress.
